This is a poem I found on an old crinkled sheet of paper while cleaning my room just now. (I’m typing it up so I can save it before I throw out the paper lol) I don’t remember where it’s from; whether it’s mine from back in middle school or if my mom printed it from somewhere, but anyways it made me feel better. I don’t know. I’ve been feeling pretty fine throughout today but it slowly faded and now I’m feeling a bit down. I have these ups and downs but I guess it’s part of growing up. They say my age right now is at the sensitive stage.
You are strong when you take your grief and teach it to smile.
You are brave when you overcome your fear and help others do the same.
You are happy when you see a flower and give it your blessing.
You are loving when your own pain does not blind you to the pain of others.
You are wise when you know the limits of your wisdom.
You are true when you admit there are times you fool yourself.
You are alive when tomorrows hope means more to you than yesterdays’ mistake.
You are growing when you know what you are but not what you will become.
You are free when you are in control of yourself and do not wish to control others.
You are honorable when you find honor is to honor others.
You are generous when you can take as sweetly as you give.
You are humble when you do not know how humble you are.
You are thoughtful when you see me just as I am and treat me just as you are.
You are merciful when you forgive in others the faults you condemn in yourself.
You are beautiful when you don’t need a mirror to tell you.
I’ve been listening to Lee Hi’s new song, ROSE while cleaning. Love her new song! :)
Okay I’m going to go back to do some cleaning and do a bit of work before I go to bed so I don’t feel as bad about myself for doing nothing productive today. Bye!
